My favorite projects tend to be within literary fiction, mystery, thriller, and fantasy, but if the heart of the story is character-driven, I’m interested! I am also available for nonfiction projects and especially enjoy memoirs. Working with a variety of genres keeps me sharp and inspired.
I have experience collaborating directly with publishers, as well as with many talented authors whose novels have gone on to traditional and self-publishing. Prior to my freelance editing career, I spent nearly a decade navigating the corporate world. I studied journalism and am highly familiar with CMOS and AP guidelines, as well as American, Australian, British, and Canadian English. I’m an active member of The American Copy Editors Society (ACES), the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA), and the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).
When I’m not editing, I love traveling, hiking, and antique or secondhand shopping. I’m an American currently living in the Black Forest region of Germany with my husband and two editorial assistants (read: cats).
